That was a very odd outlook. Most people do not retire at 60. For my age group, we are allowed to retire at 65.5. Do you have any clue how much ageism creeps in and work is hard to find and keep for the next 7.5 years. Then, who can live off social security. Assuming we retire we have to have enough savings to pull from for an unknown number of years. I hope I live a long live but not knowing how many years makes financial planning hard. On top, many can’t afford to retire at 65.5 because of the unknowns of future years. Health issues start to rear their head. Yes. Once we retire we can get Medicare, but it’s not free.
