People are judging your situation and they shouldn’t. You feel how you feel. Things are the way they are. Maybe they can change. Each generation suffers its own problems. As I just turned 60, I realize I have two generations of programmers below me competing for work. Gen-z doesn’t care, nor should they. We are the old people. We just need a way to gracefully exit the work force while still being able to feed, etc. ourselves.
