It took me until I was in my early 50’s to be fiscally responsible. I wish I had known about Dave Ramsey 20 years ago.

It’s interesting you mention a 1 year emergency fund as I’ve got the 6 month and have been thinking that it should be a year.

The earlier the better to follow Dave Ramsey. But at least try by your 40’s. It’s hard when raising a family. But it’s real hard to save enough once you are in you 50’s.
