Hard to pass up owning when the investment earns close to 20% per year. That won’t always be true but in 6 years, the value of my home has almost doubled.
My other investments are hard pressed to get over 10% on average.
The key is to have liquid and non liquid assets in your portfolio. Owning a home is a good non liquid asset, once your liquid assets are in good shape.
It also helps to have the tax deduction.
